Be cautious

If you have on Facebook seen a post of volunteering opportunity with Renata Lubonssuri, please be careful, this is what happened to me:

I replied to a post for volunteering to renovate a house and restoring some furniture on Facebook 10th May 2026, in exchange for accommodation and food. We did video chats, where I also said hello to other people, apparently volunteers, staying with her. We exchanged information, and agreed that I could stay with her, and her husband all summer. I travelled to her house in Epernay in France, at a cost of several hundred euros the 18th May. After spending about 2 hours in the house, chatting, and eating some food, I asked if I could do the laundry. She then told me it was not possible, and asked me to take my things and leave, and go to a hostel. I was very surprised at her behaviour, which in my opinion was not proportional, and did not make sense. I left and found some emergency accommodation nearby, but was still left wondering what to do with myself the rest of the summer.

If you see this page because you’ve responded to a volunteering opportunity with her, please be warned, that it may not turn out the way you hope it will. She regularly posts volunteering opportunities, and is probably likely to do so again. My concern is that the situation can escalate in a situation which may be harmful for her or others, where people will loose time and money, or may be distressed.

If you have had a volunteering with her, good or bad, please let me know about it, so this page will be a fair account.
