I replied to a post for volunteering to renovate a house and restoring some furniture on Facebook 10th May 2026, in exchange for accommodation and food. We did video chats, exchanged information, and agreed that I could stay with her, and her husband all summer. I travelled to her house in Epernay in France, at a cost of several hundred euros the 18th May. After spending about 2 hours in the house, chatting, and eating some food, I asked if I could do the laundry. She then told me it was not possible, and asked me to take my things and leave. I did, and found some emergency accommodation nearby.
